U16 Hurling Championship County Final Replay..

Bride Rovers 1-8 Bandon 1-5

This was a tight game contested in Blackrock over a week ago. There was a strong wind and we elected to play with it in the first half. Conleith was first to score with a point followed by Shane pointing also. Bandon attacked and scored a 1-1 despite Bens best efforts between the posts. We pushed forward again Eoin and Jordan were fouled and Conleith stepped up to score 2 points from frees. Kieran sent a great ball to Cian who pointed this was followed by Griffin scoring a point and just before half time Conleith scored a goal giving us a 5 point lead at half time.

We made a few changes in the second half locking down the defence and all players willing to defend and attack. Peter Patrick Christopher and Matthew had to be at their best as Bandon put a lot of pressure on the backs. Brian Seamus were working hard as we only managed 2 points from Conleith (Frees) in the second half. Bandan scored 4 points in this half. The last few minutes were nail biting as with only a goal between the teams Bandon landed the ball in the square a number of times but our backs were up to the challenge and defended everything trown at them.

We proceeded to Bartlemy where we were met by John Arnold singing Bride Rovers Abu then on to Rathcormac for some well earned celebration well done lads.
