County Final

Bride Rovers 2-10 Bandon 2-10

The result says it all in this one as once again it was a tight game throughout. We started well again as Brian had a shot saved but Conleith was quick to react and found the net. Conleith then stepped up to take a 65 and pointed however Bandon settled and scored 4 points before we managed to attack points coming from Jordan and 2 from Conleith after some great work from John and Seamus. Once more Bandon pushed forward and despite the best efforts of Ben, Matthew, Patrick and Peter scored 1-2. Cian Griffin and Kieran were working hard to send the ball forward Jordan scoring a point and Conleith catching a great high ball and pointing to leave us level at half time.

As the second half started John was fouled Conleith sent a high ball into the square and Shane got a touch to send the ball to the net. Bandon once more attacked scoring 3 points. Conleith made 2 great runs and scored 2 points  however Bandon applied pressure scoring 1-1 as we were heading into the last few minutes. Christopher and Shaun were introduced in the second half and both played well. Conor got the ball and scored a point Eoin won the next ball and showed great vision to find Shane on the wing who managed to point from a very awkward angle leaving us level at the final whistle.

The replay was fixed for Wednesday the 26th. Best of luck lads.

U12

Our under 12 boys travelled to Thurles to play in Semple Stadium early in August. There was a panel of 20 boys and each got some playing time on the soil of Semple Stadium. We played 5 games and came out on top in each. When all the games were finished the boys got a tour of the stadium that everyone enjoyed.

Monday the 17th of August the under 12 boys played Watergrasshill at Bride Rovers main pitch. Our boys got stuck in from the start of the first half and by half time we were well ahead on the score board. It was a different story in the second half as Watergrasshill were fighting for every ball and our boys switched off for a period of the second half but they improved their game again and ran out winners by a comfortable margin. Well Done Boys
