U8 Football:
The U8 girls football team played away to Youghal on Wednesday 8th July with a team of fourteen players. They were strongly supported by family and friends and even the sun shone. A fine display for such a young energetic team. Ellie Johnson and Clodagh Cody commanded the goals throughout the match. Abby Hicks was in great form and scored some fine goals from play and Clodagh Cody put a cracker of a ball in the back of the net. All the girls played superbly and did themselves proud. Players were as follows:

Team: Ava O'Regan, Sophie Makin Kearney, Emily Donohue, Brid Delaney, Ellie Johnson, Sadbh McDonagh, Alicia Healy, Saoirse Barry, Zoe Peglar, Kaleigh Bermingham, Julianne Barry, Abby Hicks, Clodagh Cody, Skye Gubbins

U10 Football:

The U10s played at home to Fermoy B on Thursday evening. Although they were missing a few key players due to injury, they fielded a team of thirteen and each and every player put in a very solid performance. Their passing was very good, they defended well and Sophie made some good saves. Rovers notched up plenty of fine scores including a hat-trick from Mollie and, despite a spirited second half by Fermoy B, Bride Rovers were the deserved winners on the day.

Team: Sophie Lee, Rachel Walsh, Abbie O’Connell, Ava Barry, Emma Collins, Ella Barry, Lily Murray (1-2), Abbie Hoare, Allanah O’Sullivan, Mai Cosgrove, Ruby Broderick (0-2), Mollie O’Connell (3-4), Aoife McCarthy

Junior A Camogie:
Bride Rovers 2-9 Newtownshandrum 2-9

Bride Rovers travelled to Castle Road in Mahon on Thursday 9th of July to play Newtownshandrum in the Junior A camogie championship. The girls settled quickly and were on the score board within minutes with a point from Grace Kearney. The next few points were shared by both teams with a point from Grace, Jenmifer Cahill and two points for Newtownshandrum. Then with some great passage of play, Grace put the sliotar in the  back of the net but the lead was short lived as Newtownshandrum went down the field and, despite Sarah bringing off a great safe, the sliotar hit off her shoulder and ended up in the net. Bride Rovers lifted their game again and with another three points from Grace and one a piece from Chloe and Catherine at half time they were leading 1- 8 to 1-3 points. The second half was very frustrating for the Rovers as Newtownshandrum were awarded  free after free and this brought them right back into the game. They scored a goal and three points before Chloe put the sliotar in the net for us. There was only one score between the teams and Newtownshahdrum got the next two scores to go ahead by one point. However, Rovers never gave up and once again with some great passing of the sliotar Grace got a point to level the match.
