U11 Camogie..
Our U11 camogie team played their first game together on Thursday evening when they travelled to Mitchelstown to play St. Fanahan’s. It was a difficult game for our girls who had only eleven players on the night due to several absentees. Despite this, they put on an extremely brave and spirited performance and marked tightly, fighting for every ball. St. Fanahan’s were much more experienced and scored some very good goals but Bride Rovers piled on the pressure at every turn and made it extremely difficult for them to score. Our only goal came from Naoise McCarthy late in the second half but Kate Larkin was also unlucky not to score as the ball was cleared off the line. All the girls played very well and they certainly have a very good base to work from for future games.
Team: Zoe Daniels Howard, Aoife McCarthy, Ava Barry, Mollie O’Connell, Lily Murray, Abbie O’Connell, Abbie Hoare, Cliona Edmonds Naoise McCarthy (1-0), Kate Larkin, Emma Collins.
On Monday evening, the u11s played their second game of the league at home to Cobh. They faced tough opposition but withstood the pressure as best they good. Similar to their previous game, they battled hard for every ball and displayed great courage in tackling, blocking and marking tight. Although they lost the match, they can be proud of a most spirited performance.

U12 Camogie:
The u12s played at home to Cobh on Saturday at noon. Cobh were by far the stronger team on the day and our girls were on the back foot from the start. Although the visitors won by a substantial margin, fair play to Bride Rovers as they never gave up. Right to the final whistle, they hassled and blocked and made every effort possible to make an impact on the game but Cobh were the decisive winners by a substantial margin.

U8 Football:
Bride Rovers u8s played their first ladies football match for the club on a fine evening at Inch Rovers last Wednesday, June 3rd, the first of what we all hope will be long careers with the club. The experience was very new to our players but they came up to speed very quickly and gave an excellent account of themselves as the first half progressed and especially in the second half. Well done to all the thirteen girls who lined out. Thanks to Inch Rovers for hosting the game and we look forward to them visiting us in Rathcormac later in the summer.
We also have u8 fixtures lined up against Na Piarsaigh and Delanys at home and away to Cobh and Youghal.
Team: Ellie Johnson, Kendra Franks, Lea Franks, Ava, Brid Delaney, Julianne Barry, Abbey Hicks, Siun Hickey, Holly Heffernan, Sadbh McDonagh, Cerys Horne, Saoirse Barry, Christina Meaney
