U14 footballers bow out of Football Championship...
Erins Own 6-8 Bride Rovers 6-6
This game was played at home on Thursday last with Erins Own emerging winners. We started well with Cian scoring 2 points from frees, Craig and Seamus were both fouled, he also scored a goal before Erins Own attacked and despite Liam Luc and Oisin's best efforts they scored 1-1. Edmond was next on the score sheet for us as he scored a great goal and this was followed by an outstanding save from Shaun in goals. Cian got another point and Michael passed to Kieran for a goal. Ruairi was chasing everything at centre field but our lead was to be short lived however as Erins own scored 2-2 before the break leaving us level at half time.
Cian opened the scoring in the second half with a point and Erins Own responded immediately with a point. Kieran scored 1-1 and once more Erins own attacked scoring 1-1. John Matthew and Adam were under pressure at the back but were playing well. Tomas, Conor and Ronan was introduced and after some good work from them Cian got a point. It was end to end stuff with Erins Own scoring an additional 2-3 and Patrick scoring 2 goals before the final whistle leaving us trailing by 2 points.
