Juniors Start League with a Win.
Our Junior Hurling team played their first game in the East Cork League when we travelled to Carrigtwohill on Tuesday April the 14th to take on the home side. In the last few years our second team had participated in the Avondhu/Imokilly JHL competition but this year we are back in East Cork. The game against Carrigtwohill was a lively match. We displayed some great point scoring and with the aid of the wind in the first half enjoyed a seven point advantage at the break -0 11 to 0 4. A second half goal from William Finnegan helped us secure a good win on a score of 1 21 to 2 7. Jerome O Driscoll played in goals - twenty years ago he starred in the 1995 Junior B Grade hurling final win over Carrigtwohill in Watergrasshill. This was a good start to the Junior league campaign. Our next game is a home game v Youghal on Wednesday next April 29th at 7.30pm.

MINORS WIN HIGH SCORING THRILLER.
Bride Rovers 0 22 Erins Own 2 15.
A game with 39 scores in it, clatter and clash in it, hurling, oh what a game! Where would you get the bate of it? In Rathcormac last Wednesday night we clashed with Erins Own in our second game in the Rebel OG Minor A Hurling League. After a heavy defeat to St Catherines in our opening tie it was important to get a good performance here and that's what we certainly got with a free flowing game. The point scoring from both teams was superb and in the end we won by a single point. Shane Walsh, Jordan Service, DJ Cahill, Jake Tobin, Jesse O Keeffe and Conleth Ryan were amongst our top scorers.

P. Seymour c/o LAYA, Dympna Murphy Scartbarry, Colin Campbell, Caroline Broderick, Tom & Nellie Barry.
Tickets for the Lotto are just €2 each and are available to purchase from Club Members and are also on sale in local business outlets. A yearly ticket can be bought for €90. The Lotto tickets can also be bought online at locallotto.ie. The first Lotto Draw was held on March 6th 1996 so the Lotto is going now for just over 20 years. It continues to provide vital finance for the day to day running of the Club as well as with continuing development of our facilities. We really appreciate the continuing support of so many people each week.
SCRAP. We are still collecting scrap metal for ongoing fundraising for the Club. There are still plenty bits and pieces out there waiting to be converted into cash. In the last two weeks alone four wheelbarrows, three baths, two garden sheds and a bag of horse shoes have arrived! Nothing is too small and nothing is too large, just ring 087 9538077.
