East Cork U16B League Final
Aghada 2-12 Bride Rovers 4-8
We ended our playing season on a high note when we retained the U16B league title which we also won against Aghada in the 2013 final. We got the tough match we expected and had to dig deep on occasions, including when we fell 5 points behind midway through the second half. Aghada enjoyed much possession but our backs stood up well and we were very thankful to Madison Parle for some great goalkeeping while goals from Katie Quirke were vital to keep us in touch. Eventually, we started to gain the upperhand around the pitch and a great volleyed goal from Jessica Howard brought us right into contention on the scoreboard. We finished very strongly and Grace Culloty kicked the final three points of the game from midfield to secure the win.
This panel of players deserved some success after some great efforts during the year, notably during narrow defeats at Eire Og and Fermoy, and post-match celebrations reflected this. Well done also to mentors John OâDowd, Jim Sheehan and Catherine Murphy.

We are looking for more volunteers to help out with the running of the club in a few different areas as we head towards 2015. If you are interested in helping to keep everything running by taking a more active role please speak to any of the present officers, call or text 087-2986625, send an email to brideroversladies@hotmail.com or send a message to Twitter @roversgaa
In many cases, only a little time would be needed but every bit of help and support we get is vital.
