When and where did you first begin refereeing? 2003 U12 football â Castlelyons v Glenville
Who was the biggest influence on your career as a ref? The East Cork referees Cathal Mc Allister and Niall Barrett were a big influence as well as Tom Fitzgibbon (RIP), former chairman of the East Cork refereesâ committee.
What has been your greatest moment in sport? Refereeing the Munster Minor Final in Killarney in 2013
What has been your biggest disappointment? My club team Bride Rovers losing the Senior hurling final in 2008
Who is the greatest player you have ever seen? Graham Canty and Brian Corcoran and many Bride Rovers senior players
Who is the referee that you admire most? Michael Collins, he has achieved a lot in the game and I hope I could achieve the same.
If you could change any rule of the game, what would it be? None, there are enough to remember so donât change them!

When I was a child I wanted to be: A farmer, still dreaming of it!
How do you relax away from sport? Running, watching tv
Person that you would most like to meet: the person that has the numbers for the Euro Millions win next Friday night!
Marooned on a desert island what could you not do without? My iPhone so I could contact my wife-to-be Clodagh to tell her where I was, and so that I could also be contacted for the next game!
In ten years time I hope to be: Still refereeing at the highest level and living off the Euro Millions!
