Intercounty Ladies Football..
Congratulations to our Cork contingent, Grace, Eleanor and Jen, who represented us in the All-Ireland semi-final versus Armagh last Saturday at Pearse Park, Longford. Grace lined out at full-forward in the match and acquitted herself very well, scoring a first half goal, which helped set up Cork for a comfortable win in the end.
Senior Ladies Football
Our county Senior B semi-final against Eire Og has finally been fixed for Thursday, September 11th. Best of luck to all the panel and management in the biggest game of the year, so far, and letâs hope we can qualify for a county final.
Minor Ladies Football
Wednesday, September 3rd
East Cork Minor Championship Semi-Final
Aghada 4-16 Bride Rovers 1-9
Aghada proved too strong for us on the night when we faced them in the East Cork semi-final last Wednesday night in Rostellan. The disappointing result meant that we were unable to match last yearâs achievement of playing A grade county football and only narrowly failing to win the East Cork minor championship. We have to dust ourselves down now though as we have still qualified for B County and a B East Cork championship final, when we will be hoping to fare much better.
Match Panel : Sarah O Flynn, Aoife Howard ,Claire Murphy, Niamh Murphy, Michelle Lane, Laura Quirke (0-1), Aoife O' Riordan, Trish O' Sullivan , Emma Roche (0-1), Elaine Culloty (0-1), Grace Culloty (0-3), Karen Sheehan (1-0), Laura Pratt (0-1), Meg Kelleher, Jessica Howard, Grainne Noonan (0-1), Cait McCarthy, Aisling Nolan (0-1), Maria Oâ Sullivan.

Junior B Camogie
Sunday, September 7th
Bride Rovers 2-10 Ballinascarthy 2-3
Junior B championship semi final briderovers 2goal 10 points Ballinascarty 2goal 3points our junior B camogie semifinal was played on Sunday. From previous matches our girls were very slow to get going so we were hoping this would not be the case against ballinascarty and in fairness to the girls once the sliotar was thrown in they all played with great confidents. Our first score came from a great passage of play and it was grace finished with a great point, ballinascarty got the next point, from the puck out the ball went over the side line, from the side line cut Jennifer cahill got on the ball and pointed it. Grace got a point from a free ballinascarty got the next 2points but it was our girls who finished the half the stronger with a goal and point from grace and a point each from Chloe Katie and Trish half time score 1goal 7pt to 3pts We knew ballinascarty would come at us very hard at the start of the second half but our backs stood up to this, we scored 2 points from grace and Jennifer cahill we now had a comfortable lead but ballinascarty had other ideas and from a free they score a goal and minutes later from a 21yard free another goal leaving only 3points between the teams. Our next score came from the puckout with a great passage of play Jennifer cahill scored a point leaving 4points between the teams and our last score was from grace who put daylight between the teams by putting the sliotar in the net for her second goal. Well done girls it was a great performance and best of luck in the final. Thanks also to Tom, John and Brian.
U14 Camogie
Sunday, September 7th, St Vincents
Bride Rovers 1-5 Sliabh Rua 1-6
We failed by the narrowest of margins to qualify for a second U14 county final in a row when we faced Sliabh Rua last Sunday evening. This was a very close game where we led by a point at halftime. However, Sliabh Rua struck for a goal and a few points early in the second half which left us 4 points in arrears. An Emma Barry goal narrowed the margin to the minimum but we didnât get another chance for the remainder of the game and ultimately just failed. Well done to all the players and mentors for a great effort.
U12 Camogie
We travelled to Coachford last Saturday to play in the final hurling blitz of the season. With only 9 players,we played Mallow on the day.A fantastic display by the girls.Well done.
