U14 Football...

We continued the U14 football championship taking on Erins Own and emerged winners on a score line of Bride Rovers 5-9 Erins Own 1-7. We were stronger throughout the game and deserved the win. Ben brought off some outstanding saves as Erins Own scored 1-5 in the first half while Jordan, Cian and Seamus made some great passes in the forwards. Patrick, Kieran, Luc and Peter were reliable at the back as always. Conor scored 1-2 Griffin 0-1 Ciaran 1-0 and Brian 1-1 before half time.

Ruairi and Matthew were solid during the second half as Erins Own only managed to score 0-2 and our forward pushed on with Tom scoring 0-1 Brian 0-2 Conor 0-1 Eoin 0-1 Shaun 1-0 and Conleith 1-0

 U14 Hurling

Munster Feile was a new competition introduced this year we were drawn to play in Mallow taking on teams from Cork and Tipperary. Our first game was against Nenagh and we won Bride Rovers 1-9 Nenagh 0-2. Ben kept a clean sheet in this game as Nenagh scored 2 points in the first half. Craig and Seamus were playing well up front as Conor scored our opening point followed by Griffin also pointing. Brian scored 2 frees before the break.

We settled better in the second half Conleith scoring a long range free and winning the puck out for another point. Brian scored the next point then Tom linked up with Conleith for the next point. Patrick sent a long ball to Shaun who found the net and he added to his tally with a point before the final whistle.

The next game was against Cobh we won this Bride Rovers 1-11 Cobh 1-5. Cobh scored 1-4 throughout the first half while we had scores as follows Jordan 0-1 Shaun 0-1 Eoin 0-1 Brian 0-1 and Conleith 0-2. We were better in the second half as Matthew and Ruairi were strong allowing Cobh to only score 1 point. We pushed forward again Conleith scoring 0-2 Brian 0-1 Conor 0-1 and Eoin 1-1

Our third game was against Knocknavilla Kickhams from Tipperary.  We won on a score line of Bride Rovers 0-6 Knocknavilla Kickhams 0-5. This was a tight game Brian scored 0-1 Conleith 0-2 and Griffin 0-1 in the first half while our opposition managed 0-2

In the second half Cian and Peter had to be at their best as our backs were under a lot of pressure Knocknavilla scored 0-3 while Conleith was our only scorer in the second half with 0-2

This put us into the final against Silvermines also a Tipperary team. We emerged victorious here Bride Rovers 2-6 Silvermines 1-4. This was an extremely tough game which showed as both teams only scored a point in the first half Conleith getting our score. Oisin playing at corner back was outstanding throughout showing his true potential. We worked hard during the second half Conleith scoring 0-2 Griffin and Eoin both scoring a point however Silvermines scored 1-1 to push the game to extra time. Both teams were very tired but we pushed forward Brian scoring 2-1 while Silvermines scored 0-2. A well deserved victory well done lads.

 U16 Hurling

Bride Rovers 1-10 Cobh 4-6

We played this game at home and Cobh proved to strong as they scored 3-3 in the first half while we has scores as follows DJ 1-1 Eoin  0-2 Brian 0-1 and Jessie 0-1.

The second half our backs were stronger as Cobh scored 1-3 and we had scored from Dylan 0-2 Jessie 0-2 and Brian 0-1

Our next league game was against St Vincents last Monday night we lost by a point on a score line of Bride Rovers 6-14 St Vincents 6-15

Ben in goal was under a lot of pressure and played well. While Peter Tadgh and Christopher had to be strong as St Vincents were attacking continuously managing to score 3-8 during the first half. We pushed forward Shane O'F and Griffin were chasing everything while Jessie scored 1-2 DJ 1-1 Leon 1-0 and Jordan 0-2. Level at half time.
