 U14 Hurling

Bride Rovers 2-9 Sliabh Rua 0-9

We contested the first round of the U14 Premier 2 championship last Sunday in Delaney grounds against Sliabh Rua and emerged winners. Kieran started strong linking up with Conleith for our first point. Peter sent the ball to Cian who was fouled and Brian scored a point from the free. We had a lot of possession at this point in the game with Patrick making some great clearances from defence but couldn’t convert into scores. Sliabh Rua scored 5 points throughout the first half and after some great work from Griffin and Seamus Conleith scored 2 points before the break.

Sliabh Rua were quick to start the second half with 3 points before Shaun linked up with Conor for a goal. John and Matthew were strong at the back and Ben in goal kept a clean sheet. Jordan at midfield did a lot of running and had to be strong on a number of occasions. Craig Tom Michael and Ruairi were subs. Conleith scored the next 2 points and Eoin got on the score sheet with 2 long range pointed frees. Cian scored an outstanding goal and Brian finished our scoring with a point. Sliabh Rua manages a point before the final whistle. We now progress to play Carrigaline this Saturday in Delaney grounds. Best of luck lads.
