Second League win for Seniors...
On Thursday night of last week before a handy crowd in Pairc na  Bride we played host to city club Na Piarsaigh in the RED FM County Senior Hurling League. This was our fifth game in the League with a win over Glen Rovers our only victory to date.  With former Na Piarsaigh player Stephen Glasgow in fine form for us, notching 1  2  the team overall gave a fine exhibition of hurling. In recent League and challenge games we had struggled in the forward department but on Thursday night we got a tally of 1 - 25 to 1 - 18 for the visitors. This was a great result but a few serious injuries to players since then is a big setback.  We have a home game on Sunday next v Sars at 1 o clock and on Tuesday the 29th we face Erins Own.
Team v Na Piarsaigh : D. Fitzgerald, S. Kearney, B. Walsh, D. Carr, L. Forde, B. Murphy, S. Walsh, C. O' Connor, M. Kearney, M. Collins, D. Dooley, S. Ryan, B. Murphy, S. Glasgow, B. Johnson
Subs: S. Pratt, F. Collins, O. Murphy.

 REBEL OG MINOR HURLING LEAGUE.
On Easter Sunday night  our Minor Hurlers played host to our neighbours Watergrasshill in the Minor A Hurling League. Games between us are always tough as there is never much between us at this level. The cold and  wet slippery conditions didn't make for great hurling but the contest never lacked for effort from both sides. Our lads started the brighter with points from Cian O' Connor and Shane Walsh and a goal each by William Finnegan and Dean Lenihan. We went into the break leading on a scoreline of 2-9 to 0-3. The second half started badly for us when we conceded a goal direct from the throw in but our lads heads never dropped, almost immediately we responded with a goal of our own when Shane Walsh rattled the Hill net after some great work from DJ Cahill. Ryan Prendergast then got another goal and we tagged on more points from Jesse O' Keeffe, William Finnegan and DJ Cahill.
The final score was Bride Rovers 4 15 Watergrasshill  2 5. Our next game is away to St Catherine's on this Thursday night April the 24th, in Ballynoe at 7pm.

Team: S. O' Connor, J. Tobin, T. O Sullivan, J. Barry, C. Howard, R. Prendergast 1-0, J. Connor, C O Connor 0-2, J. O Keeffe 0-1, DJ Cahill 0-1, W. Finnegan 1-7, D. Moore, C. O Grady, D. Lenihan 1-1, S. Walsh 1-3. Subs: J. Service, N. Buckley
