Bride Rovers 4-8 Boherbue 3-13
Bride Rovers Senior team played their first round of the league on Sunday 23rd against Boherbue in Rathcormac. 24 players in all togged out for the game and with a few more to return from injury it is very positive to see such good numbers attending the senior league fixtures. While the two points went back to North Cork on this occasion the Rovers girls can be very proud of their second half display when they played very good football. The first half showed all the signs of a team that were playing their first competitive game of the year and it duly resulted in a 5 point deficit at half time. The second half was a different story though when the Rovers girls took the game to last yearâs Intermediate county and Munster Champions and had a 10 point turn around. The game went down to the wire though and two fast goals against the run of play meant the game was lost by the narrowest of margins, 3.13 to 4.8. The players and management will have learnt a lot from this encounter and will no doubt go into the next game with huge positivity. Rosscarbery travel to Rathcormac on Sunday next at 5.30 for round 2 of the league so please support.

Bride Rovers 2-7 Glanmire 1-12
Our U16s lost their East Cork league fixture against Glanmire by 2 points last Sunday. Glanmire are a fancied side at U16 level this year so our sideâs performance was not too bad in the circumstances, especially as we lost key midfielder Emma Roche to injury very early in the game. The panel are confident of better fortune in the remaining fixtures.
Scorers : Grace Culloty 1-7, Aoife Deasy 1-0.

Bride Rovers 1goal 7 seven points Na Piarsaigh 5 Goals 5 points
The game started off very well with Bride Rovers quickly putting scores on the board. The opening goal was scored by Ciara O Flynn followed almost straight away with a point by Chloe and then another great point by Sophie. We seemed to have all the play for the first 10 mins. Sophie then got another point which made us up by 1 goal 4 points to no score. For the next 15 mins all the play was with Na Piarsaigh and unfortunately we didn't score again until well into the second half. Our last 3 points were in the last 5 mins of game 1 by Caoimhe Hazelwood, 1 by Aoife Cowman and lastly Sophie. Great effort made by whole team but it wasn't our day our next game is Sunday the 4th of April away to Youghal.
