Seniors Heavily Defeated....;
On Sunday last we played our first game in the Red FM Cork senior hurling league. Because our own pitch was unplayable we travelled to Douglas for the game. We suffered a very defeat on a scoreline of 3 19 to 1 13. It was a terrible dissapointment but we can only get better as the season goes on.

Tickets for the weekly Lotto Draw are priced at just ⬠2 each and can be purchased from Club members. They are also available in local business outlets and online at locallotto.ie Support for the weekly Lotto is vital and greatly appreciated as the costs involved in running a GAA Club are increasing all the time. As well as the day to day costs we are planning more major Development work in Pairc na Bride in 2014 so finance is always needed. We are always looking for new Lotto Ticket sellers so if you could sell even a few tickets each week it would be of great benefit to the Club.
Dave Prendergast RIP.
The community and the GAA Club were shocked and saddened at the death last week of David Prendergast of Ballinwillin , Bartlemy. A native of Inistioge Co Klkenny Davy came to the parish of his father when he was six years old but always remained a proud Kilkenny man. He was a great follower of the Rovers and last year was very proud to see his son Ryan win East Cork and County Minor Medals. It's only a few weeks since we were saddened to hear of his illness and now his death came all too soon. We extend our sympathy to Teresa, Asling, Tracy, Ryan and all the Prendergast clan. The MFL game v St Finbarrs fixed for Saturday last was postponed as a mark of respect.
