The winners of the five €30 'Lucky Dips’ were;

.Brian Arnold, Bartlemy
.Tom Brackett, Rathcormac.

This  week’s draw took  place in Barry’s Bar on Tuesday February the 25th for a jackpot of €12,400.
Tickets for the weekly Lotto Draw are priced at just  € 2 each and can be purchased from Club members. They are also available in local business outlets  and online at locallotto.ie Support for the weekly Lotto is vital and greatly appreciated as the costs involved in running a GAA Club are increasing all the time. As well as the day to day costs we are planning more major Development work in Pairc na Bride in 2014 so finance is always needed. We are always looking for new Lotto Ticket sellers so if you could sell even a few tickets each week it would be of great benefit to the  Club.

JUNIOR FOOTBALLERS START WITH A WIN.
East Cork JFL Division 2 V St Catherines in Ballynoe.
The game was played under lights at Pairc Naomh Caitrionaigh on Friday night February 21st  just four months away from the longest day of the year!
For our first league game of the year we had  22 players togged out with five others unavailable because of injury. We had a good mix of experienced and younger players available.
 We started very well with a goal inside 5 minutes from Barry Johnson followed by points from Jason Pratt and Alan O' Keeffe. Some great work from young Shane Walsh in the middle of the field led to a Terry Broderick point followed quickly by a long range point from Sean O' Brien. We led by 1.4 to 0.3 at half time but St. Catherines to their credit fought back strongly. Points from Ryan Prendergast, Jason Mannix and two more from Barry Johnson helped us to see out the victory on a scoreline of 1.9 to 2.4. Our next game is away to Glenville which is due to be played this coming week. Team: F. Hogan, J. Macek, P. O' Driscoll, J. O' Connor, S. Pratt, S. Kearney, S. O' Brien (0-1), S. Walsh, J. Pratt (0-1), J. Mannix (0-1), B. Johnson (1-2), T. Broderick (0-2), W. Finnegan, A. O' Keeffe (0-1), D. Buckley. Subs used: M. Kearney, R. Prendergast, L.O Leary. At the time of writing no definite date has been pencilled in for the Glenville game. We have Minor and Senior games at the weekend so it may go to next week.

RED FM SENIOR HURLING LEAGUE.

We play our first game in the 2014 Red FM Cork Senior Hurling League this weekend. On Sunday March the 2nd we are away to Douglas at 2 o clock. This is our eleventh year in the Senior Grade and we look forward to the season with confidence. The Senior Hurling grade in Cork is very competitive and the sixteen club teams have a keen rivalry in both League and Championship.

GOOD LUCK DANIEL.
All in the Club and parish wish Daniel Dooley and CIT the very best this weekend. CIT are taking part in the Fitzgibbon Cup this weekend in Belfast. On Friday in a 'local derby' CIT play UCC in the semi at 4.30. The first semi final pits Limerick IT and Waterford IT together at 2.30. UCC are the reigning champions and with their football team already crowned Sigerson champions the double is in their sights. We wish Daniel and his CIT team mates all the very best.
