East Cork Board meeting.
The draws for the 2014 East Cork Junior A grade Hurling championship were made last week. We are drawn to meet Cobh in the first round. This is a tough draw but it could have been tougher. Our Junior A team will be taking part in Division 1 of the Cavanaghs of Fermoy Avondhu/Imokilly Junior Hurling League again this season. Draws for the remainder of the East Cork competitions will be made shortly.
Cork County Board.
The first meeting of the County Board for 2014 will be held on this coming Tuesday night January 28th. 2014 promises to be an exciting year in Cork GAA Circles. Much will be expected from the Hurlers after their great run last year. A new look football team had their first  competition final victory on Sunday last winning the McGrath cup in Mallow so they are off to a good start. With the redevelopment of Pairc Ui Chaoimh scheduled to commence this year it will be a busy season.

Scór Sinsir – Uí Mac Coille 2014.

Scór Sinsir 2014 Competition Uí Mac Coille will be held in Lisgoold on Saturday 15th February, 2014 and the East Cork Board  are asking all clubs in the Division to take part,

There are 8 events/disciplines in Scór for 2013/14 and a Club can take part in any one or all.  The Imokilly Scór Committee would appreciate if Clubs took part in a number of our disciplines. These disciplines cover all aspects of Irish culture, Figure/Céilí Dancing, Solo Singing, Recitation/Storytelling, Instrumental Music, Léiriú, Ballad Group, Set Dancing and Table Quiz.
No doubt there many talented people available in our club area of Bartlemy, Rathcormac and Kildinan that would be more than anxious to take part and would be a help to the club.
Table Quiz is a new and exciting competition as it has been changed to facilitate the wishes of so many clubs rather than the individual one.

Please note the following:-
Scór Sinsir Uí Mac Coille 2014 will take place in Lisgoold Hall on Saturday 15th February, 2014, at 7.30pm.
Tráth na gCeisteanna Boird will take place, also, at Lisgoold Hall on Sunday 16th February at 7.30pm but, if possible, will be held on the Saturday night of the other competitions.
The ENTRY FORM is already with our Club Secretary William O Leary so if you are interested  please contact William at 087 2558373 or our Cl8b Cultural Officer Mossie O Sullivan  086 8354093.   The closing date for entries is Tuesday 4th February, 2014.
