County Minor Football not played....
We were down to play Western Gaels in the Rebel Og County Minor Hurling League Final in Ballincollig on Sundayafternoon but the game did not go ahead. We received word on Wednesday that our opponents were unable to field a team. We understood we were getting a walkover which in reality is no way to win a County Title. Now it seems that we may yet have a Final to play. Western Gaels have yet to play the West Cork Hurling League Final against Kilbrittain and as Western Gaels are now concentrating on football Kilbrittain may be nominated to play us in the County decider. It's a bit unsatisfactory as we head into the month of December but hopefully it will be all sorted out by this weekend one way or another.

Cork V Waterford 2014
Looking forward to next year the Munster Council were requested by the Waterford County Board to consider Walsh Park as the venue for the May Cork v Waterford Championship tie but with a maximum capacity of 17,000 the Provincial Council have opted for Semple Stadium in Thurles - it's a game that could well attract 20,000 to 25,000 fans. The 2014 Munster Championship promises to be one of the best ever with the All Ireland Champions, All Ireland runners up, 2013 Munster Champions and the 2013 All Ireland Minor winners all taking part anyone of the five participants could well win the Southern showpiece.

Cork clubs going well
Well done to Clyda Rovers on winning the Munster Intermediate Club Football Championship last Saturday. At Limerick's Gaelic Grounds Clyda defeated Milltown Malbay of Clare and now go on to contest the All Ireland Semi Final early in the New Year. On Sunday next we wish the Youghal Hurlers the very best as they go to London to take on St. Gabriels in the All Ireland Club Quarter Final.
