East Cork U14B Championship Semi-Final
Bride Rovers 5-10 Rockban 1-10
Our U14 footballers produced probably their best performance of the year so far against a strong visiting Rockban side in the East Cork semi-final last Sunday. This game was nip-and-tuck for much of its course but we finished strongly with the final five scores of the game to earn a place in the final against neighbours Watergrasshill. Rockban enjoyed their share of possession but our backs were fantastic in limiting the number of goal-chances and forced many shots to be taken under some pressure and ending in wides. Behind them, Sarah Murphy, fresh from her outfield exploits with the U12 footballers, never put a foot wrong in goal and set up a lot of our attacks with her accurate and long kick-outs. Grace Culloty joined the attack from midfield whenever possible while Emma Hazelwood covered behind and this worked well for us all day. Up front, our forwards combined well with many players contributing to creating and taking scores. The focus now turns to Watergrasshill who we played in a very high-scoring game during the league. That game was very close and went down to the last few minutes, and we expect a strong challenge in this East Cork final also.

U13 and U15 Camogie

The U13 final against Aghada was played on the day and we ran out 3-3 to 0-4 winners after a good second half performance saw us put some daylight between ourselves and our opponents.
