U15 Hurling

Bride Rovers 1-15 Lisgould 2-8

We played Lisgould last Saturday and after a very tough game emerged well deserving winners. DJ got the opening point after some great work from Brian, Eoin and Leon. Lisgould attacked and despite the best efforts of Christopher, John and Jack scored 1-4. We pushed forward Shane O'C, DJ and Jordan all scored points while Shane O'F scored our only goal of the game. Conleth and Leon won frees which Jessie pointed and he also scored an additional 2 points before half time while Lisgould scored 1-1 to leave the game level at half time.
We started the second half well with Shane O'F winning a free which Jessie pointed. Jordan M scored a point while Brian and DJ linked up with Jessie for our next point. Our back line was put under a lot of pressure at this stage but Dylan and Tadgh were up to the task and defended well. DJ and Jessie both got points while Lisgould scored 3 points. However we finished the better as DJ was fouled twice and Jessie pointed the resulting frees. We are now through to the Eastern Division ‘B' Final.
