Bride Rovers 2-12 Kilta Og 1-8

Kilta Og were our opponents in the County U13 A final which was held in lisgould last Friday. It was a repeat of the Eastern Division Final with a county title to play for. We were on the score board first with Eoin sending the ball to Brian for our opening point this was followed by Conleth delivered a great ball to Seamus who scored a goal. Kilta Og were putting a lot of pressure on our back line but Ben between the posts along with John Griffin and Matthew were at their best as we only conceded 1-4 throughout the first half. Ciaran and Conor were working hard in the forwards as Conleth pointed a free while Brian and Shaun had shots on goal which resulted in a point for Brian. Eoin 65 found Shaun who pointed and Patrick won a free which Conleth once more pointed. We continued scoring with Eoin scoring a point and Patrick a goal. Eoin and Conleth getting our last scores of the half with a point each.
While we were double scored at half time we knew from our last meeting that Kilta are a very strong 2nd half team. However we were up for the challenge and kept their attack at bay as Cian and Kieran were sending the ball forward. Peter Tom and Ruairi were all introduced throughout the 2nd half while the other subs were Oisin Ciaran Craig Luc Michael and John all played their part. Kilta Og scored 1st with a point but we were quick to respond with Seamus passing to Sean for a point. Seamus then scored a point from an impossible angle. While Eoin passed to Jordan for another point. Kilta managed 2 points while Conleth passed to Jordan for our last score of the game. There were great scenes of delight as the cup was presented to our captain Griffin. Well done to the lads on a great performance.
