Bride Rovers Funday, Sunday August 25th.
Entry is free this year again to the annual funday which will be held at Pairc na Bride on Sunday, August 25th. Last year's event was a huge success, enjoyed by everyone who came along, and with the weather being so much better this year, we're hoping for even better this year.

U16 Football
East Cork League Semi-Final.
Tuesday, August 13th.
Rathcormac
Bride Rovers 1-7 Glanmire 1-10

Glanmire repeated their earlier group stage win over our U16s at Pairc na Bride last Tuesday. We fell behind in the first half but our second half performance was much better even though we came up slightly short in the end.

U12 Football
Midleton vs Bride Rovers
Our U12 footballers played their last league game last Tuesday night in Midleton. We started brightly and were well on top all over the field. Very quickly we built up a big lead as we scored freely from all over the field. Scores from Katie Quirke, Sarah Murphy, Bronagh Cleary, Lucy Hicks, Aoife Cowman and Fiona Barry had us well ahead at half time. Ella Quinlan again had a great game in goal making a few good saves. Caoimhe O Sullivan and Bronagh Cleary had their best games yet in a Rovers Jersey. Caoimhe Hazelwood and Sophie Dorgan worked very hard throughout the game as did Anna Murray. Rachael O Flynn was also back to her best clearing great ball from the full backline in the first half and covering a lot of ground in midfield in the second half. We finished the game well ahead on the scoreboard and we now await the final results in the other games to see if we have qualified for the playoff stages of this league.

U16 Camogie

Our U16s are in county quarter final action on Friday, August 23rd against Sliabh Rua. Throw-in at Riverstick is at 7pm and all support would be greatly appreciated.

U15 Camogie
Monday, August 12th
Castlelyons 0-2 Bride Rover 4-5
We had a second win over Castlelyons in U15 camogie last week, this return fixture being played in Castlelyons. One fixture is outstanding, against Aghada in Rathcormac on Tuesday, August 27th.

U13 Camogie
Bride Rovers vs Aghada
Our U13 camogie team were in action this week against Aghada at home in Rathcormac. We had a strong team out on the night and this showed early on as we were on top in all sections of the field but we found it hard to put this onto the scoreboard. We did get a few nice scores just before half time. In the second half, we really got going and we got some more great scores to run out comfortable winners in the end. Our next game is tonight, so we will let you know next week how that game went. Well done girls on a great performance.

U12 Camogie
Aghada vs Bride Rovers
Our U12 girls played another league match against Aghada down in Aghada last Monday night. It was a nice night for camogie but our girls were slow to get off the blocks. We were sluggish all through the first half and Aghada were well on top and ahead on the scoreboard at half time. We asked our girls to give their best in the second half and they did just that. All over the field we were on top during the second half but we could not catch Aghada on the scoreboard. We suffered our first loss in the league so far with seven games played and we have no doubt that this experience will stand to the girls in the future. We have three game left to play so the girls will be busy over the next couple of weeks. Good luck to Sarah and Rachael who are starting secondary school next week.
