Senior Football....
Our second senior championship outing saw a much improved performance against Eire Og last Thursday at Rathcormac. The sides were level at half time but we should probably have enjoyed a decent lead facing into the wind, and rain, which would have changed the complexion of the game. Eire Og made better use of their chances in the second half to run out winners on the night. We wish their injured player the best also and a swift recovery and return to action. Bride Rovers now face Senior B opposition in a few weeks and best of luck to all concerned.
Junior Football
Our Juniors are now scheduled to play St Colmans, away from home, in the opening county championship fixture on Thursday, August 8th at 8pm. Best of luck to the players and mentors.
Minor Football
Monday, August 5, Pairc na Bride
Bride Rovers 3-11 Fermoy 3-15
After a high scoring encounter with neighbours Fermoy, we were narrowly beaten on the day. Credit to both sides who gave it all in a game which stretched energy levels to the limit. After two wins, this was our first defeat in the minor league but all is not lost and we look forward to the upcoming fixture against Carrigtwohill, 7:30pm on Friday, August 9th, with confidence.
