The backs were playing super with Adam and Matthew playing with great determination. Craig and Ruairi were chasing everything up front. Kieran, Shaun and Patrick scored a 2nd point each. At half time we were a point down. Second half started with Kieran coming in for special attention from Kiltha Og but he stood up to it all. Tommy Finn U12 Tournament
1/4 Final
Bride Rovers 2-5 Mooncoin 2-3.
This was a superb game of hurling a game that needed extra time after 40 mins of exciting hurling. We found ourselves down by five points in normal time but in true rovers style never gave up and forced extra time. In turn we went five points up only for Mooncoin to get a late goal but superb blocking and defending our backs put us through to the semi-final.
Bride Rovers 2-5 Clonea 2-3
In this game we led from start to finish but could not pull away. The boys were now starting to get tired after the game on Thursday night and under 13 on Friday night but kept going and won through to the final.
Bride Rovers 1-3 Freshford 4-8.
This score line did not do justice to the effort the boys put in. The boys were out on their feet however they never gave up but the Kilkenny boys were just too strong. It was a great experience for the boys over the 2 weekends beating teams from Kilkenny Tipp and Waterford. All boys gave 100% and are a credit to their parents. Thanks to all parents who travelled to support the boys. Based on these performances the lads will be in the winners circle very soon. (Pictured above)
