Football Primary Game
Congratulations to Emily Larkin who lined out for Cork in the primary game at half-time of the Munster SFC semi-final between Cork and Clare last Sunday. Emily enjoys her football and it's great that she got this chance to play on a big occasion.

U12 Camogie
Our U12 camogie team travelled to Fr O Neills on Thursday night, June 6 for their first league match of this season. We had 12 players present and as the league is 11-a-side under the go-games format, we had one sub to rotate throughout the evening. We started well and all the girls were in good form. An early goal from Sarah, followed up by one from Ella that would have graced Croke Park on All Ireland Final day, gave us a strong early lead. She connected with an incoming ball first time with a ground strike and gave the keeper no chance of stopping it. In the go-games format, the game is played in 3 fifteen minute periods. Players must play in a different line during each period, so that the girls get experience in all positions on the team.
In the second part of the game, Fr O Neills came back at us and that set up an exciting final period. A feature of the game was the improvement shown by all of the girls since the blitz we played two weeks ago. In the final period, a goal and a point from Katie, and a goal from Fiona, added to great points from Caoimhe Hazelwood and Sarah and we ran out winners on a scoreline of 4-03 to 3-02. Well done girls.

Our U12 girls played two matches last week. The first game was on Thursday night last at home in Rathcormac against St Catherines and the second away last Saturday morning in Carrigtwohill. In the game against St Catherines, we were well on top in the first period but couldn`t find the target and at the start of the second period, we were still scoreless, as were St Catherines. We moved Fiona Barry to the half forward line and it paid immediate dividends as she proceeded to score 2-02 in a few minutes. That settled us down and we ran out comfortable winners in the end.
On Saturday morning in Carrigtwohill, it was back to cold, windy and wet weather and it took its toll on our girls. We played against the wind in the first period and found it hard to get into the game. In the second period, we played muc h better with the wind but still finished that part of the game two goals behind. It looked ominous for the girls facing into a strong wind for the final period of the match. ( Under the go games rules, U12 camogie matches are played in 3 fifteen minute periods. ) We asked the girls for a big effort in the closing stages and they certainly gave us that. They finally woke up and the switch of Shauna Hayes to the full forward line worked as she rattled the net 3 times with 3 well taken goals. Added to that were a point each from Fiona & Sarah and a sublime effort from the touchline on the run by Katie saw us run out winners on the scoreline of 3-03 to 2-01. Well done in both matches girls. The panel for both games was;
Ella Quinlan, Bronagh Cleary, Shauna Hayes, Caoimhe O Sullivan, Caoimhe Hazelwood, Lucy Hicks, Katie Quirke, Sarah Murphy, Rachael O Flynn, Ciara O Flynn, Fiona Barry, Anna Murray, Rebacca Howe.
We are hosting the final U12 cluster blitz this Saturday morning. We are meeting at 10.30 and starting at 11am sharp. We would love to see as many people as possible supporting this great bunch of girls and you will get a chance to see some of the wonderful skills that these girls are producing every week.

Camogie Cork 6th Class Panel
Siobhan O Sullivan continues to line out with the Cork 6th class camogie panel, participating recently in the James Hurley blitz in Mallow and playing very well in games where the skill level and effort is very high. Well done to Siobhan.

U14 Camogie
Friday, June 14
Barryroe 2-1 Bride Rovers 9-8

Our U14s enjoyed a good win in Barryroe last Friday night. The match got off to a subdued start as a number of our players were involved in traffic accident on the way to the game and could not line out as a result. We wish everyone involved a quick recovery. The Rovers nevertheless got down to business and continued their good run in this league helped by early goals from Caoimhe Hazelwood. We led by a couple of goals at half time but a 4-goal burst from Siobhan O'Sullivan midway through the second half put this game to bed. Final fixtures against Clonakilty and Kilmeen, both in Rathcormac, are next up.

Panel : Sarah Murphy, Emily Larkin, , Aislinn O'Connor (0-1), Siobhan O Sullivan (5-2), Grace Culloty (2-3), Emma Barry (0-1), Arianne O Flynn (0-1), Kate Quirke, Caoimhe Hazelwood (2-0), Lucy Hicks.
