U14 Football
Thursday, April 18, East Cork League, Whitechurch.
Rockban 10-9 Bride Rovers 8-2
In a high-scoring encounter, which was highly influenced by a strong wind at the Whitechurch venue, we came out second best against Rockban in this East Cork U14 fixture. Our half-time lead of 5 points was not enough especially when the weather conditions worsened for the second half and we struggled to move the ball out of our own half. Well done to all the girls who turned out and showed great determination throughout in very difficult circumstances.

Senior Football
Sunday, April 21st
Eire Og 2-17 Bride Rovers 2-7
Our seniors were out of luck again when they suffered defeat at Eire Og in the third round of the county league. On a positive note, it's a learning experience for many of our players which will stand to them in time to come.
Junior Football
Monday, April 22nd ,Mourneabbey
Mourneabbey 0-8 Bride Rovers 1-10
Great performance again from the junior team on Monday night in Mourneabbey who made it 2 wins from 2 games, in what proved to be a very tough physical encounter. We played the first half against a strong wind, but played some good running football, and with all the girls playing with a ferocious workrate. We went in at the break ahead on a scoreline of 1-4 to 6pts. A goal from Sinead O'Driscoll, adding to points from Laura O'Keeffe, Sarah Barry & Imelda Dorgan.
We continued in the same vein in the 2nd half, we defended resolutely, in fact only conceding 2 points for the rest of the game. Again due to a great turnout, we were able to introduce 4 subs, who all played really well when they came on. We added to our own score through some great points from Sarah, Imelda, Trish, Nod and Elaine. A word of mention also for Ãine Cashman, who played in goal for the juniors for the first time & performed more than admirably. The final scoreline again was 1-10 to 8pts.
Team: Ãine Cashman, Cynthia Buckley, Carol Noonan, Erin O'Keeffe, Claire Murphy, Finola Hogan, Karen Sheehan, Trish O'Sullivan (0-1), Katie Connor, Laura O'Keeffe (0-2), Imelda Dorgan (0-3), Sarah Barry (0-2), Sinead O'Driscoll (1-1).
Subs: Meeks Carr, Aoife Deasy, Lauren Friel & Elaine Culloty (0-1).
The U12s had a great win in Mayfield last Saturday morning to continue their great run of form. This age-group have many games to play, including U14 fixtures for many of them, but they seem to thrive on it. Well done to all concerned.
U16 Camogie
Sunday, April 21st , Rathcormac
Bride Rovers 1-5 Dungourney 2-3
A spirited second half fightback by the Rovers was not enough to overturn the first half lead built up by Dungourney in this U16 camogie fixture at Pairc na Bride last Sunday. Well done to all the girls who turned out on the day.
