Bride Rovers Juvenile GAA....

U14 Football

We travelled to Kildorrery on the 16th of March to play in the Feile B. In our first game we played Kildorrery and lost on a score line of Bride Rovers 1-4 Kildorrery 2-3. We attacked from the start with Conor sending a pass to Shane he was fouled and scored a point from the free. Conleth and Eoin were strong throughout. Kildorrery scored 1-1 in the first half. While Kieran and Brian scored a point each.
Kildorrery scored 1-2 in the second half and were putting pressure on our backs however Ben in goal and Matthew Jordan Ciaran and Patrick were all playing well. A number of balls were sent to the forwards where Mark and Shaun were unlucky not to score. Brian scored a great goal while Cian scored a point.
We played Boherbue in the second game and they proved much too strong as we were after a tough first game. We only scored a goal while Boherbue scored 1-6 during the game. Griffin had an outstanding game at midfield while Brian was our lead scorer on the day getting our goal. Conor made some vital interceptions in this game to cut out some of the attacks. Luc and Tom also played in this game and chased everything.

We played 2 games in the last few weeks with 2 very different results. Our first was against St Catherines where we won on a score line of Bride Rover 1-9 to St Catherines 0-3. St Catherines started stronger scoring 2 points and we responded with some great passing between Adam and Jessie resulting in Dean scoring a point. Then DJ won a free which Dean once more pointed. Dylan, Leon Tadgh and Jack F didn't see much of the ball as Jack O'C and Jake were pumping the ball forward.
Colm and Shane O'Connor were making some great runs while Jordan and Ciaran O'Grady were chasing everything. We pushed forward throughout the second half with DJ scoring 1-1 Dean 0-5 and Ryan coming from wing back to score a point. Other subs introduced were Shane O'F, Mark and Jack O'M and they all played well.
