JUNIOR HURLING.
We started our 2013 campaign with a home challenge game against Ballygiblin with a panel of 18 players some 2 weeks ago. We started slowly and found ourselves 2 points down in as many minutes, we got into the game through Stephen Boyce and Gavin O'Flynn and by half-time we led by 5 points to 4 points. We started brightly in the 2nd half and two well taken points by James Murphy stretched our lead before we conceded a goal to allow Ballygiblin back into the game. Enda Collins came off the bench and with his first touch had the ball in the net for an excellent goal. From there to the end we were under severe pressure and went behind by 2 points and in the last minute Enda was unlucky to see his kicked effort being saved which left Ballygiblin victors by 2--8 to 1--9.
Panel and Scorers: Frank Hogan, Tadgh O 'Sullivan, Brian Collins, Barry Collins, Fergus Collins, Kieran Collins, Jim O'Connor, James Murphy(0-2), Stephen Boyce(0-1), William Finnegan, Brendan O'Driscoll, Terry Broderick(0-2),Gavin O'Flynn(0-3), Sean O'Brien, Ryan O'Connor(0-1),Podge Noonan, Enda Collins(1-0),Liam O'Leary, Jamie Buckley.

For our second game of the season we travelled to Glanworth to take on Harbour Rovers on Sunday last. It was good for the Club to have 22 players in attendance despite 8 players being unavailable due to injuries and work and also due to the fact the a panel of 20 players + had travelled to Dungarvan with the Senior Team.

Once again we started slowly against very good opposition and found ourselves on the back foot despite playing with the wind. We finally found our range and registered 4 points before half-time. On the day we utilised the full panel again and we were comprehensively beaten but it is good to get an opportunity in early match practise to provide hurling games for all players.
Panel & Scorers: Frank Hogan, Tadgh O'Sullivan, Brian Collins, Podge Noonan, Barry Collins, James Murphy, Jim O'Connor, Gerard Healy, Damien Buckley(0-1), William Finnegan(0-1), Terry Broderick(0-3), Liam O'Leary, Colm Power, Stephen Hackett(0-1), Kieran Wolfe, Pat Walsh, Richie Cahill, Enda Collins, Darren Moore, Jamie Buckley. Our 2013 Avondhu/ Imokilly JHL begins on this coming weekend Sunday March 10th with a home game v Castlemartyr at 3pm.
