Bride Rovers GAA Notes....

Table Quiz on Friday night.

It's time to get the thinking caps on this coming Friday night November the 9th with the first Table Quiz of the year. The Rathcormac Inn is the venue with a starting time of 8.30. The Quiz is open to all from within and outside the parish. It is part of our ongoing Fundraising campaign to create finance for further developments at our Club Grounds, Pairc na Bride. The Quiz is really a fun event and no special knowledge of GAA or sport is needed. The questions will be general knowledge with some fun rounds a well. Teams of 4 are just €40, if you don't have a team just come along on the night and you can join in with some team.

Club Shop.
Well the 2012 playing season is over but the value is as good as ever at the Bride Rovers Club Shop. We have a huge range of Stock just in. Jerseys, togs, Socks, Hoodies, Training Shorts, Track Suits, Training Tops, Gear Bags, Polo Shirts, Bottle Green Wind-Sheeters, Green Half Zip Hoodies, Rain Jackets, Beanie Hats and Medal Boards are all available. Be seen to support your club with the club colours and club gear. The Shop was open on Tuesday of this week to take orders for Christmas. Club Lotto.

Last week's draw took place in Barry's Bar, Rathcormac on Tuesday October the 30th for a jackpot of €7,200. The four numbers drawn were 3,14,17 & 19 and there was no jackpot winner.

This week's draw took place in The Rathcormac Inn on Tuesday November the 6th for a jackpot of €7,400.

Astro-Turf available to Hire

The astro-turf pitch at Bride Rovers is available for hire by contacting James Bermingham on 086 8350741. Pitch is suitable for 5 a side teams and costs €50 per hour with lights.

GAA Season Ticklets.

The 2013 GAA Season tickets are now on sale. The Ticket combines admittance to the National League games and first round championship game for either the Cork Hurling and/or football teams. Scór na nÓg
The Uí Mac Coille Final of Scor na n og (under 17 on 1/1/2013) will take place on the 1st December in Lisgoold at 7pm. The Closing date for entries with the East Cork Scor Committee is November the 15th.

Well Done Kildorrery.

Congrats to Kildorrery on their fantastic win in the County JHC Final replay v Brian Dillons on Sunday last. It was first ever win for Kildorrery after many, many years of trying. We wish them well as they set out on the road to Munster and All Ireland glory and best wishes for a speedy recovery to Tom Monaghan from his injury. It was a really proud moment for Club President Tommy Dunne who played with the Bartlemy Club when domiciled in our parish in the 1950's.

Cork GAA Members Daw.

Congrats to Peter O Keeffe, Cronovan, Bartlemy who won a Holiday Voucher in the first series of the 2012/2013 Draw which was held last Thursday night

Jerry Martin RIP.

Condolences to all the relations friends of Jerry Martin of Knockeen, Bartlemy who died unexpectedly last weekend. The Martin family had an involvement with Gaelic games in the Parish going back to the 1880's. Jerry was a great supporter of the Club and won an East Cork Junior B Hurling Championship medal with Bride Rovers in 1975. In his younger days Jerry was also a well known cross country athlete. He was predeceased by his parents and brother Hughie. May he rest in peace.

Car Boot Sale.

The next Car Boot Sale is on Sunday next November the 11th. We are constantly seeking new volunteers top help on the day so if you can give even just one hour please contact any club officer.

Set Dancing.

Set Dancing Classes for the autumn/winter have recommenced in the Rathcormac Inn. The classes are held each Wednesday night commencing at 8.30pm.
