On Saturday, 3rd November 2012, Coiste Oiliuna is hosting a Coaching Conference in the Oriel House Hotel, Ballincollig, Co Cork from 10.00 to 1pm.
This Coaching Conference will focus on 4 major areas;

1. Setting up the post of the Club Coaching Officer and explanation of his/her duties.
2. Develop and implement an age specific, structured coaching programme from U6/7 to U16. (Hurling and Football)
3. Setting up and co-ordinating a physical development programme (age specific) from U6/7 to U16.
4. Monitoring and evaluating both programmes and personnel involved.

The Conference will be addressed by:
• John O Loughlin, Club Coaching Officer in St Bridgets H & F club, Dublin and current Longford senior footballer. St Bridgets won both Feile Peil and Iomaint in 2012. John will be focusing on clubs with a large membership.
• Pat Moore, Abbeyside H & F Club, Co Waterford. Pat is a Master Tutor with Croke Park and previously served as County Coaching Officer in Co Waterford. Pat will be focusing on clubs with a smaller membership.
• Damien Young, Drom an' Inch H &F Club, Co Tipperary. Damien is a Master Tutor with Croke Park, has coached extensively and was heavily involved with the preparation of the All Ireland winning Tipperary team of 2010. Damien will be focusing on physical development in all clubs.
Saturdays' schedule is as follows;

10am -10.30am. Registration in main lobby.
10; 30 - 11; 30am. Presentation by Pat Moore (Abbeyside GAA) in
downstairs conference hall. Small GAA Dual Clubs
Presentation by John O Loughlin (St Bridget's GAA) in
upstairs conference hall. Large GAA Dual Clubs
11.45 -12.30 Presentation by Damian Young (Drom an' Inch GAA) in
upstairs conference hall. All Clubs

12.30 - 1.15pm Q & A
1.15 -2pm Refreshments and finish.

There is a charge of €5.00 per person.
