U11 Ger Kenny Blitz
On Saturday Sept 8th the annual Jerard Kenny blitz was held. Six teams attended Blackrock, Sars, Midleton, Ballygarvan, Sliabh Rua and Bride Rovers. All seven games were closely contested with Blackrock winning group one and Sars winning group two. In the final Blackrock won out. A great day was had with over 90 boys showing great skills and were a credit to their clubs. Thanks to the two refs on the day Pa O'Driscoll and Mark Murphy who made sure games were played in good spirit. Thanks also to the parents of our under 11 team who provided the refreshments on the day. It was great to see the Kenny family present on the day. Finally thanks to our under 11 boys who played brilliant hurling on the day to show we can compete with the big clubs.
