Bride Rovers 8-3 Macroom 1-8

We made the long trip to Macroom last Saturday for this game and came away well deserving winners. Macroom had all the play for the first 10 minutes managing only a point as Ben brought off a number of saves and Ruairi, Eoin and Patrick were on hand to help with clearances. There was some great passes Sean & Brian sent passes to Cian who scored 2 goals. Then Brian passes to Conleth for a point. Macroom pushed forward and scored 3 points which could have been more but they were denied by some excellent defending by Seamus and Ciaran. Conleth scored another 2-2 before half time.
Macroom once more started strong scoring 1-4 with no reply as we were after relaxing but we pushed on again Sean scoring a goal. Jordan was winning a lot of ball at midfield and Tom was chasing everything at the front. John sent a long ball all the way to the net and the next high ball sent in by Conleth was won by Brian and he goaled as well. A well deserved win considering how far we had to travel.

Bride Rovers 3-9 Valley Rovers 4-4

We travelled to Brinny to take on Valley Rovers last Monday night. We only had 14 players on the night and we had to play against 15 so we knew we were up against it from the start. Valley goaled before we had a chance to settle Eoin then scored 0-2 Valley got the next point then John pointed from a very awkward angle. Jordan and Beineon were playing well at midfield. Ciaran passed to Shaun for our next point then Shaun won a free which he also pointed. Valley took over at this stage scoring 3-1 before half time while we only managed 2 points one each for John and Eoin.
We came out a stronger team in the second half and played a lot better. Ben in goal was unbeatable as he brought off a number of saves and Cian Shane and Joe were keeping out all attacks. Eoin and Brian scored a point each while John and Shaun scored a goal each. Valley managed to score 2 points but were denied any further scores as they were finding it hard to get the ball past Patrick Conleth and Richard in the half back line. We were down a point and with time almost up the lads showed their determination as everyone was working hard and Eoin got the goal the team deserved. Well done lads.
