U14 Football

Bride Rovers 2-3 Canovee 1-7

We contested the U14 football Championship last Friday when we travelled to Carrigadrohid to take on Canovee. It was a tough game from start to finish and we lost out on the narrowest of margins. We started well with Griffin getting the opening point followed by DJ scoring a goal and Jessie a point. Adam Tadgh and John had to be at their best as Canovee had all the play for the next 20 minutes scoring 2 points. We did push forward with some great work from Shane O'F, Jordan and Conor resulting in Leon scoring a goal. Brian, Jack and Eoin were needed on a number of occasions to make some vital clearances. Canovee did score 2 points before half time.
Canovee came out the stronger in the second half attacking over and over again Mark in goal having to bring off a number of saves however they scored 1-3 during the second half and we only managed a point from DJ. Shane O'C worked tirelessly throughout the whole game while Christopher and Ian were also introduced and played well.

U12 Hurling

Bride Rovers 4-10 Erins Own 1-5

Erins Own were quick to start scoring 1-1 before we settled Eoin scoring 1-1 and Griffin scoring 0-1. Ben in goal brought off a number of great saves while Craig and John were solid at the back. Erins Own scored a further 2 points in the first half but we pushed forward with Conor scoring 1-1 Beineon 0-1 Shaun 1-0 and Eoin 0-1
We started the second half well Conor slotting home another point. Michael and Ruairi were chasing everything in the forwards. Erins Own scored 2 points in the second half as we pushed forward again with Griffin scoring 0-1 Patrick 0-1 Brian 0-1 Conor 0-1 and Shaun 1-0

U13 Hurling

Bride Rovers 1-8 Mayfield 2-4

We started the game well with Shane passing to Brian for our opening point. Patrick and Jordan were called on to make a number of clearances as Mayfield attacked scoring a point. Ben was reliable between the posts bringing off a number of point blank saves. Conleth and Shane were next on the score sheet both scoring points. Despite the best efforts of Christopher and Adam in the back line Mayfield scored a goal but we were quick to respond with Conor scoring a goal. The first half finished with Mayfield scoring a point and Beineon scoring a point also.
Mayfield started the second half stronger scoring 1-2 before Shaun and Griffin scored a point each. Ciaran was chasing everything in the forwards. While John and Griffin were sending quality ball to the forwards. We finished well with Eoin passing to Adam on to Conleth for a point. Patrick linked up with Eoin who sent the ball to Conor for the last point of the game. Great win lads.
