Bride Rovers 2-8 Cobh 2-11

This game was contested last Thursday night at home. We started well with DJ, Jessie and Jordan all scoring points. However these were our only scores in the first half as Cobh attacked and scored 8 points with no reply. Shane in goal made some great saves while John Tadgh and Jordan defended well. Leon Griffin and Conor were worked tirelessly throughout the game.
We played better in the second half DJ and Shane linking up with Jordan for a goal which was quickly cancelled out as Cobh goaled also. Shanes puck out found the other Shane and with some great passing DJ sent the ball to Jessie for a point. Brian, Adam and Eoin were pushing forward at every chance. DJ scored the next point and Jessie scored another point. Ian, Patrick, Mark and Ben were all introduced and played their part. Shane scored another point then Jessie sent a high ball in to DJ which he sent to the net. Cobh pushed forward again scoring 1-3 before Jack finished with a point.

U13 Hurling

Bride Rovers 4-9 Cloughduv 4-5

We travelled to Cloughduv last Monday night with only 14 players. The opposition insisted they play 15 so we were up against it from the start but our lads rose to the occasion and played some great hurling. Conleth and Shane were working hard in the forward line as Conor won a breaking ball and scored a point. Ciaran and Griffin were playing well together with Griffin scoring a point and Eoin followed this with a point. Cloughduv got on the score board with a point before Conleth scored 2 fantastic goals. Cloughduv attacked at this stage Ben between the posts brought off some great saves while John, Jordan and Joe were at hand to help with clearances. Eoin made a great run sending the ball at the way to the square where Shane got a touch to send the ball to the net. Cloughduv scored 3-1 before half time. While Adam and Patrick were supporting each other to send the ball to Conleth which he finished to the back of the net.
We started well in the second half with Eoin, Griffin, Brian and Ciaran all making runs which resulted in Eon scoring 0-2 Griffin 0-1 Brian 0-1 Ciaran was unlucky not to score on the night. Mark was working hard chasing everything. Cloughduv scored 1-3 throughout the second half. Eoin passed to Griffin for a point and Shane sent a puck out to Griffin for a point.
