Junior Camogie..
Our junior camogie team had a good win against Kilworth in the last of the round-robin championship games at home on the 15th August. Grace opened the scoring with two points and Chloe scored a point from a free before Kilworth scored a goal. For the remainder of the first half, both teams traded scores with Shauna scoring a goal and two points and Kilworth scoring a second goal. At half time the tally stood Rovers 1 08, Kilworth 2 03.
Rovers drove on in the second half with scores from Chloe, Abbie, Mollie and Jen with Kilworth only notching up one point to see Rovers win 2 14 to 2 05. The score did not really reflect the competitiveness of the game and the home side had to work hard at every position to secure the win. Well done ladies.

Senior Football
The senior ladies kicked off their championship campaign with a very comprehensive win over Inch. Taking an early lead of 1 06 before Inch scored a point, this set the tone for the remainder of the match and Inch were really chasing the game for the duration. They did score two goals in the last quarter, one from a penalty, but it was too late for them to bridge the gap. Well done Rovers on an excellent team performance.
