Senior ladies football A semi final...
Our ladies senior footballers have qualified for the A semi-final against Éire Óg next Sunday in Ovens with throw in at 1pm. This is our club`s first time qualifying for an A semi-final, having lost out narrowly on score difference last year. We were in a difficult group in the round robin series that included current All Ireland club champions Mourneabbey, Inch Rovers, Fermoy and Aghada. We finished in second place and claimed one of the two A semi-final places on offer in the group. Anything less than a top two finish would have left us competing in the B senior championship, which we had won previously in 2019 and 2105
As Éire Óg finished on top in their group, they have home advantage, so we are appealing to all Bride Rovers supporters, young and not so young, to turn out on Sunday to support the girls in their endeavour to reach the first senior A final in the club`s history. When training resumed earlier this year, the girls set themselves a target of reaching an A semi-final and now that they have achieved this, they want to drive on and see where this wonderful journey takes them. Bride supporters are known to be amongst the most loyal and vocal in the GAA club scene, so lets all head to Ovens for 1pm on Sunday to support the girls on their quest. Bride Rovers Abú!
