For the first time since last March our Senior Hurlers were in action on Pairc na Bride on Sunday last. Before the Covid lockdown our last home fixture was a County Division 1 Hurling League ties against Na Piarsaigh, a game which ended in a draw. On Sunday morning it was case of déjá vu as an exciting contest also finished on level terms. With the pitch and grounds looking resplendent and the new seating in use for the first time we had Sean Treacy's of Tipperary as visitors. The club is centred in the parish of Hollyford, Kilcommon and Rearcross in the Slieve Felim Hills, west of Thurles and close to the county boundary with Limerick. Sean Treacy's won the Tipperary County Intermediate Championship last year and are back up in the Senior Grade this year. The game was played at a high tempo with Treacys bringing a quick paced style of play. We responded in kind but couldn't get to grips at times with their movement, pace and power. A close first half ended with the sides level. Both teams made a raft of changes for the second half. It turned out to be an entertaining game and another step closer to championship. It finished 1-14 a piece. Thanks to our visitors for making the trip from Tipp.Cian Hogan Dan Dooley Kieran Kearney Conleith Ryan Cian O'Connor Patrick O'Flynn Conor Barry Michael Collins Jordan Mannix DJ Cahill Jack Connor John O'Sullivan Fergus Collins Stephen Pratt Brian Roche Jason Mannix Eoin Roche Liam Forde Matthew Quinn Shane O'Connor William Finnegan Shane Walsh
