U14 East Cork Football League:
Nikki our captain opted to play with the wind in the first half, our girls started strongly and were well on top for the first 20 minutes, with some lovely scores from Nikki, Ruby and Clodagh.
The few attacks that Youghal had, our backs did very well to keep them at bay with some great saves from our keeper Clara, well done Clara for stepping into goals. We went in at half time Bride Rovers 2-6 to 2-2 for Youghal.
Now it was a tough battle for the second half as we were against a very strong wind. Youghal really got into the game and got some scores to put us under a lot of pressure. However our backs stood strong and only allowed Youghal to score 1-2 for most of the half while we also scored 1-2 against the wind.
After scoring our third goal we were 3 points with about 2 minutes to go, the girls did everything to keep Youghal out but with the last kick of the game Youghal got a goal to draw the game.
This was a fantastic nail biting game and all the girls played their hearts out, our next game is next Saturday 7th March against Cobh @ 4pm.

Sports Prediction Quiz.
It’s Sports Prediction Quiz time again. This fundraiser has been a great success for the Club over the last few years. This year we have selected 21 National and International Sporting events from March until October of this year. The first event is to predict the Cheltenham Gold Cup winner and the final prediction to be made is to pick the winner of the Cork Premier Senior Football Championship. For all your predictions you are given four possible ‘winners’ or if you want to pick someone else you can select ‘Other’. Different points are allocated to each selection and whoever accumulates the most points will be the winner. Tickets priced at €10 are now on sale from Club Members. The Closing date for entries is March 9th so do join up straight away. If anyone gets the 21 predictions all correct a grand prize of €3000 is on offer. If there is no 'all-correct' entry it's the best points total. In that case, we are giving prizes of €500, €200, €100 and two prizes of €50 each. If you're not in you can't win.
