U12 Girls Football

Last Sunday was a busy day for our u12 girls with 1st up in the morning our A team travelled to Aghada to play the home team in the East Cork B semi final. On what turned out to be a beautiful day the girls went into this game full of confidence which was evident from the football they played on the day.

From the throw in they took control of the game with some resolute defending moving the ball quickly to our forwards who did the damage on the scoreboard to take us in at half-time leading 3.7 to 1.1. Aghada came out in the 2nd half with all guns blazing and really put the pressure on our defence who again stood up to everything that they could throw at us and with our forwards still finding the measure of their opponents we ran out winners in the end by a scoreline of Bride Rovers 5.10  Aghada 3.7  Next up in the final we have Midleton

Our AGM will be held on Wednesday the 20th of November, 2019 in Bartlemy Hall at 7.30 p.m.

U14 GIRLS FOOTBALL  Bride Rovers 0-8  Glanmire 5-8

After a long year of football we played in the East Cork A Championship Final last Saturday.  We came up against a very good team in Glanmire but unfortunately fell short on the day.  It's been a very successful year for the girls beating Youghal in the East Cork League Final, loosing out narrowly to Carrigaline in the County Final and getting to another East Cork Championship Final.  Thanks to all the players and parents for their commitment throughout the season.
