Footballers in to Co Semi Final..
Our Junior B Football team took on Inniscarra last Saturday in the quarter final of the County Junior B Football Championship. The game was played in Carrignavar on a perfect pitch. It was real autumn day with blustery wind and showers but the football was still of a high standard. We got off to a brilliant start with a point from Conor Barry. Cian Hogan added two more before the Mid Cork side got a point back. After ten minutes we were so dominant with possession that just three players were in our half of the field! Cian kicked a long range free over the bar before Conor kicked our fifth point from a free. Inniscarra then came into the game and kicked three points in a row from frees and one from play to tie up the match at 0 5 apiece. Team Captain Liam Forde got involved in a passing movement and then soloed with the ball the length of the field. His goal bound shot was deflected but following up Conleith Ryan finished to the net for a super goal. Conor pointed a free after great work from the two Shanes and Paddy O Flynn. Another point from Conor Barry saw us 1 7 to 0 5 ahead but Inniscarra had the last white flag of the first half to make it 1 7 to 0 6 at half time. During the first half we were well on top for long periods but Inniscarra were very good at the short passing game and worked some great scores. We started the second half in flying fashion once more with quick points from Paddy O Flynn and Conor to stretch our lead to six points, 1 9 to 0 6. Back came Inniscarra once more with two points from play and one from a free to leave just a goal between the sides. Conor from a free gave us a four point lead and further points from and DJ Cahill saw us winners by 1 13 to 0 9.

U15 Hurling
We played Killavullen last Sunday in a challenge match in Killavullen. This was a really good game for both teams as Killavullen are in the Trbel Og North u16 A final and we are down to play St Finnbars in the u15 Premier 1 Championship semi final. The game against the Barrs is now fixed for the 5th of October with no venue yet confirmed. Training on this Friday and Sunday.
FIXTURES.
There is a deal of uncertainty about this weekends fixtures. Next Monday Sept 30 th is the Cut off date for all East Cork Junior League games. We have JFL fixtures v Castlelyons and Ballinacurra and Hurling DIV 2 v Midleton and Div 3 v Castlemartyr. We probably, almost certainly, wont get all these games played but we hope to play Ballinacurra under lights in Aghada on Friday, Castlelyons on Sunday and Midleton in JHl on Sunday and maybe Castlemartyr under lights on Monday. At the time of writing all these are 'up in the air' but players will be notified as needed.

FAREWELL AND WELCOME.
We bid farewell to Canon Michael Leamy on his departure from the parish. Canon Leamy has been appointed PP in Mitchelstown after 5 years in our parish. He has been a friend to all and a great supporter of the Bride Rovers Club. We welcome our new PP Fr Joseph O Keeffe, a native of Mallow, who comes from his post as PP of Mourneabbey.
GOOD WINS FOR GIRLS.
The ladies football Senior and under 14 teams had great semi final wins on Sunday last defeating Fermoy and Youghal respectively. The Seniors play Kinsale in the Senior B final this weekend and we wish them all the best. Hard luck to the under 10 girls who lost to Fermoy after extra time in their semi final.
WELL DONE KILDORRERY.
Kildorrery have been frequent visitors to Pairc na Bride in recent years in both IFC and IHC competitions. Last Sunday it was a case of the 'second last chance saloon' when they defeated Youghal in a relegation play-off to retain their Intermediate status for the 2020 season. Thanks to Club Members who helped out on the day
