Please support our senior ladies next Sunday the 22nd of September, 2019 in Ballyhooley at 3.00 p.m. when they play Fermoy in the Senior B Championship semi final.

U8 CAMOGIE

Our U8 camogie team played Sars in fantastic conditions in Rathcormac last weekend. We had 32 players broken into 3 teams, each team playing 3 games, so all the girls got extended game time.
The commitment from players both clubs was excellent. Thanks to Sars for traveling for the games & to our refs Caoimhe and Conor Hazelwood.
Ladies U16 East Cork Championship .
On Monday 16th we togged out against our near neighbours  Fermoy B in what promised to be a tough 1st round championship game - it was a hard fought physical game and Fermoy put it up to us for every score we secured.
With our max of 5 subs brought on, We were finally victorious on a score of 3-18 to 2-04. We have a lot of work to do before our next round against Watergrasshill on the weekend of Sept 29th so see you all at training !!
Again, Well done girls & thanks to all the dedicated supporters.
Also , Best of luck to our team mate Sarah Morrison traveling to Italy this week to represent our country in an international surf life saving competition.
U12 GIRLS FOOTBALLOur u12 girls travelled to Ballinora last Friday evening to take on the home side in our 2nd game in the county. On the night our girls performed brilliant and gave it all that they could but just could not break down a resolute Ballinora defence. In the end losing out on a scoreline of 6.8 to 1.5 Training continues Tuesday evening and our next game is against St Colums this coming Saturday in Ballinora at 4.00
U10 CAMOGIE
Bride Rovers travelled to Watergrasshill last saturday to partake in their camogie blitz.17 girls togged out for Bride Rovers which was a superb turn out and showed the undoubtedenjoyment the girls are getting from the game.We played three games against St Catherines, Erins Own and Watergrasshill, and not only did the sun shine on the day, the girls shone too.The mentor group broke the girls into two separate groups, with each group playing one half of each match in an effort to ensure that all the girls played in every match and played in more than one position As well as another notable increase in the girls skill levels in whatever position on the pitch they found themselves, it was also great to see the girls developing their teamwork and game craft with girls supporting each other in attack and covering each other in defense.
MINOR LADIES FOOTBALLOur minor girls lost their match again Glanmire last Friday but have qualified for the B East Cork League Final and also the B County Championship. We at Bride Rovers Ladies Football & Camogie Club wish Canon Leamy the very best in his new post in Mitchelstown.
