U14 Girls Football County Final..
Bride Rovers 2-13 Carrigaline 6 -5
Last Sunday was D-day for our U14 footballers, competing in the County Final against a very talented Carrigaline team. Coming into the match we had a tough win away to Valley Rovers in the Quarter Final and then made the long journey to Ballyvourney to take on Naomh Abán in the semi -final which we won by 4 points. With two tough matches behind us this was setting us up well for Carrigaline. Unfortunately in the first half Carrigaline out played us and scored 4 goals in succession to have a commanding lead by the time the short whistle had blown. At the break we had a good chat with the girls and they produced a magnificent second half performance that we were all so proud of but unfortunately we came up short by the time the final whistle had blown. We must give huge credit to all the players on the panel for their commitment all year and we now look forward to the East Cork U14 Championship.
Our Senior ladies lost their Championship quarter final to Eire Og on Saturday the 31st of August, 2019. Minors ladies won their League match v Inch Rovers. Junior Camogie ladies lost play off to Castlelyons.
