Our senior ladies had a good win over Fermoy last Monday night in Rathcormac on a scoreline of 3-11 to 1-09. It was a polished display all round as we were always comfortable throughout this game. It shows the strength of our panel when we lined out with only 10 of the players who beat Fermoy in the county league earlier this year. The players who came into the starting team for this game fitted in seamlessly and will give the management a selection headache going forward. A good complaint for a senior team! Our backs kept the Fermoy threat at bay while our forwards ran the Fermoy defence ragged. We put their kick out under huge pressure and won a high percentage of their kicks. We got some great scores throughout the game. We now have a semi final against Inch Rovers to look forward to. Well done to everyone for a solid display.

G4M&O
The Gaelic for Mothers and Others (G4M&O) played their first blitz of the year On Saturday 20th of July at the Munster G4M&O blitz in Mallow. A panel of 15 ladies played four games against Na Gaeil Ladies (Kerry), St. Patricks (Tipperary), Aghada (Cork) and Newmarket (Cork). As the ethos of this initiative is non-competitive there was no such thing as wins or losses but just good football being produced throughout in a fun environment. All players moved positions during the games showing their level of skill and adaptability in both defence and attack. It was great to see some of the stalwarts of the club showing they haven’t lost it and also the newer recruits representing the green white and gold with pride. Many thanks to our supporters who travelled with us and gave constant encouragement. All involved with the G4M&O group would like to wish a speedy recovery to our friend Diana Murphy and hope she will be back representing the club in the near future.
Panel for Munster Blitz: Mary Ryan, Blaithin Keating, Sinead O’ Driscoll, Catherine Guinan, Evelyn Murphy, Caroline Broderick, Annette Raher Murphy, Clodagh Bermingham, Stephanie Lynch, Colette Hogan, Mairead Cleary, Michelle O’ Brien, Nollaig Murphy, Pam McNamara, Allie Murray.
