Senior Ladies Football...
Our Senior Ladies play Aghada on Sunday the 2nd of June, 2019 at 3.00 p.m. in Rathcormac in County League Division 1.
With a panel of only 16 camogie players our camogie league has got off to a great start with a win against Ballyhea, a draw against Douglas and a second win last Sunday against Sars. On a lovely sunny evening last Sunday we played Sars in what we thought would be a tough enough challenge. However, from the throw in we played great camogie while we went into the second half with a scoreline of 1-8 to 0 -0. The second half was just like the first we continued racking up the scores. From our the goalie to the forwards each girl put in a fantastic effort. Best of luck to Abbie, Ava, Ciara and Lily who are involved with the Cork U14 Football in the quarter final against Sligo next Saturday.
U8 CAMOGIE Our U8 camogie team welcomed teams from Dungourney, Castlelyons & St. Catherines to Pynes field last Saturday morning for a camogie blitz. In total we had 29 girls who togged out so we had 4 teams participating. Missing was Eva Cahill who broke her arm on Friday....speedy recovery Eva. We played extremely well with signs of very obvious progress since our last blitz 3 weeks ago.
Many thanks to the 3 clubs who came along and also to our young whistlers who did the officiating. We've entered into an U8 football league but are awaiting fixtures. Training continues every Monday night at 6:30 in the large astro for both football & camogie.
Cul Camp forms to be requested and returned to Val Culloty. Cul Camp date is July 29th to August 2nd.
U10 CAMOGIEMonday evening saw Bride Rovers under 10’s play two more matches, this time against Erin’s Own in Pynes pitch. It was great to see all the girls out showcasing all the skills of the game mixed together with hard work and industry, well done to all the girls and many thanks to Erin’s Own and our referees on the night
