Victory social on Saturday night..
Our County winning Minor and Under 212 hurling teams will be honoured on Saturday night next March 9th at our Victory Social. The Silver Springs Hotel in Cork is the venue. Both teams gave brilliant displays last year. The Minors accounted for St. Finbarrs, Fermoy, Blackrock before meeting Shandrum in the County Final. After a thrilling drawn game in Pairc Ui Rinn we had a brilliant win in the replay in Mourneabbey. The Under 21 hurlers defeated St Catherines, Castlelyons before playing Carrigtwohill in the final in Lisgoold. In the end we were happy to come away with a draw. In the replay under lights in Ballynoe we made no mistake. In the County we defeated Newcestown and Passage to qualify for he County Final. We had a long, long wait for the decider. Eventually Cloughduv made it to the decider. In a thrilling game in Pairc Ui Rinn we came from behind to win our first ever County title at this grade. Tickets are available from Liam Barry, Lisa Collins and Ken O Riordan.

Bride Rovers Academy:
Our youngest underage teams have begun to shake off the cobwebs having taken a well deserved break over Christmas. In the past week the U9, U10 & U11 teams have started back training on Saturday mornings. Weather condition were tough last Saturday but it didn’t stop 20 of the U10s from training in the astro….wet & cold by the end but smiling throughout! Sincere thanks to Irene Hogan who completed a Child Protection course for 27 coaches recently. Also we had 20 coaches (some new, some old!!) who completed a Foundation coursing course under the guidance of GDA Sean Crowley. Well done to all concerned. Dates for the diary: This years Cul Camp will be held on the last week in July. Commencing Monday July 29th.
