U12 GIRLSBride Rovers u12 girls enjoy the lime light Our u12 girls had a big day out last Saturday playing in the exhibition game during the half time of the Cork v's Tipperary senior ladies football league game in Pairc Ui Rinn. Except for the result of the senior games everyone had a great time and the weather was very favourable. We would like to thank the ladies county secretary Marion Crowley for her diligent work in organising this special occasion for the teams.

CORK U14 FOOTBALL

Well done to our Cork U14 Girls Abbie, Ava, Sarah and Lily who took part in the Munster Football Blitz in University of Limerick at the weekend.

Senior Ladies Football

Our senior ladies football team had their first outing of the 2019 league campaign last Sunday afternoon in Ovens. We started brightly and had a goal in the first few minutes. We played some great football with everyone playing off the shoulder and supporting each other very well. We went in ahead at half time.

As expected, Eire Og came back strongly at us in the second half but we stood up to the pressure. This is a great improvement on past seasons when we tended to lose game in the second half. Eire Og went a point up in the final quarter but we didn`t panic. Two good saves from Sarah and a quality equalising point from Grace Culloty earned us a deserved draw. Our fitness and support play were very good for the first game of the season but we still have work to do. It is also great to see our younger players stepping up to the mark and making good contributions to the team and panel. A well taken goal from Caoimhe Hazelwood after a great run from Nollaig was very important in the second half. Keep up the hard work girls and it could be a long season.
