Junior Ladies Football..
On Thursday last on juniors were in county football action. We played host to Castlehaven on what turned out to be a beautiful evening for a game. Rovers started the game well and took the game to the travelling side and scored the first point but in the 10th minute we lost our influential centre back Bridgee due to injury. This gave the Castlehaven side a little more confidence and though our backs fought hard, Castlehaven went on to score 4 goals.
In the second half, Bride Rovers defence closed up shop and the forwards were trying their hardest against a strong Castlehaven team. In the final 10 minutes we were rewarded with a brilliant goal scored by our wing back Caoimhe Hazelwood. On the night all players gave their all but just could not break down a good Castlehaven team.
