U14 Football..

Our U14s played league semi final Monday 14th against Youghal. We had a good first half however Youghal were just too good for us and won on a scoreline of 8 -11 to 1 3.  We will now meet Aghada in "B" league final.

Congratulations to Abbie Hoare and Lily Murray who were part of the Cork u14 team that won the All Ireland Blitz at the weekend.

Under 12 Football

On Thursday evening the 10th the 2006 team made the away trip to Mayfield. Due to injuries on the 2006 team We had 16 players available on the night, with a few additions from the 2007 team.  The girls worked well as team and worked their way into a good lead with 2 quick goals.  Mayfield then found their way back into the match with their own well worked scores. The match ebbed and flowed but the Bride Rovers girls dug deep in the second half and pushed on for the victory. The girls have really worked on their support play and it showed on the night with some great passages of passing and support running. We took our chances for scores with deadly accuracy.  Well done to the girls coming up from the 2007 team.  Speedy recovery to our injured players.   Next up for 2006 team is the many times rescheduled away trip to Aghada with a home game likely next week versus Lisgoold. On Monday night the 2007 team played Fermoy in local derby in St Colemans this was a great match with two very evenly matched teams with great skills of the game on display right through the team. Some of girls this was their first competitive match and all the girls can well proud of their game on the night.  The game it self was a good open match with both cancelling the other out  and in the end the match ended in a draw.

U10 Football

On Saturday last our u10s girls travelled to Lisgoold to play the home team in the league.

The girls continued with there winning start to the campaign with some lovely flowing football and some fine scores.

We never allowed Lisgoold any time on the ball with our determination to get the ball being one of the girls main traits.

All girls from 1 to 23 played their heart out and we ran out winners in the end. F/T Bride Rovers 7-1 Lisgoold 0-1

Next up on Thursday 17th is the home game against Eirns Own
