Ballygiblin 4-11
Bride Rovers 2-10
On Sunday last we traveled to Ballygiblin to play the locals in our last game before the exams. From the throw in you could see this was going to be a good battle. Playing against the wind we had plenty of possession but could not convert scores striking five wides before Ballygiblin went down the field and hit the net. They quickly added a few points to lead 1-3 to no score. Kieran Kearney and Cian Hogan opened our account with points. Then we won a free in the middle of the field and it was delivered into the square where Craig O Callaghan broke the ball down to Cian who rattled the net. A few late points by the opposition had the score 1-6 to 1-2 at half time. The second half was along the same lines as we battled hard but when we got close we conceded soft goals. Patrick O Flynn put a superb effort in again catching sliotars that Teddy Mac would have been proud of in his hay-day .The lads battled on and will have better days, in the end the home side won by seven points. A hard day at the office against a good and finely balanced team. Panel. Michael Quinlan, Oisin Roche, Matt Quinn, Tomas Macek, Adam Walsh, Patrick O Flynn, Ruairi O Sullivan, Seamus Ahern, Kieran Kearney, Craig O Callaghan, Cian Hogan, Jacob Powell, Edmond Cashman, John Buckley, Darragh O Sullivan, Ronan O Connell, Eoin O Sullivan.
