MINOR HURLING
Last Thursday evening we played a hurling challenge against our near neighbours Ballyhooley. This game proved to be very useful as it gave many players game time and also showed management and selectors what is on offer this year. The game finished level 3 15 to 2 18 and it looks like that the Ballyhooley side will have plenty to say in the North Division this year. Our first game in the Rebel Og Minor Hurling League is on this coming Saturday April 15th when we are away to Youghal at 4 o clock. On Thursday of next week April 20th we are at home to Cobh at 7pm.
U16 Hurling
Bride Rovers 4-23
Watergrasshill 2-13
On a super day for hurling our U-16 hurling team made the short trip to the Hill and put in a solid hours work against the hosts. The Hill rattled the net after 15 seconds but our lads responded well and scored some great scores and led at half time 1-15 to 1-03. Cian Hogan striking ten points of our first half tally and Edmond Cashman getting the goal. We played against the wind in the second half and we knew the home would have their good spell in the game. We weathered the onslaught and the lads composed themselves and ran out very comfortable winners. A good start to the league. Panel for the game. Shaun Knox, Tomas Macek, Patrick O Flyn, Oisin Roche. Adam Walsh, Matthew Quinn, Ruairi O Sullivan, Kieran Kearney, Seamus Ahern, Craig O Callaghan, Cian Hogan, Michael Quinlan, Edmond Cashman , John Buckley, Ronan O Connell. On Easter Monday April 17th we have another 'local derby' game when we are away to Fermoy at 7pm
