Cork U16's in action Sunday
The Cork U16 Ladies Football team begin there championship campaign against Tipperary on Sunday 5th March in Mallow at 2.30pm.Coach Noel Twomey has done alot of working in preparing this team for the championship. We extend best wishes to our own Katie Quirke & Sarah Murphy who are part of the team and also to Aine Keating & Sally McCarthy from Kildorrery, both of whom play camogie with Bride Rovers.
FixturesThe weather is currently playing havoc with fixtures, last weeks game v Erins Own was postponed during to the inclement weather.This weekend our U16's and Juniors have league fixtures to fulfil but at time of writing no definite fixtures have been confirmed.
Registration Night
Bride Rovers Ladies Football & Camogie Club will hold their Registration Night on Friday March 10th in the club dressingrooms from 7.30pm to 8.30pm. All players, coaches & selectors must register for the coming year
Street CollectionThis year we have a new date for our Street Collection which will take place in Rathcormac & Fermoy on 25th March. We will be in contact with teams to arrange hourly collection slots in the coming weeks. Your support of this fundraiser is appreciated.
College FootballWell done to Laura Quirke who played with WIT in their 2-21 to 1-05 win over DIT in the Lynch Cup, they now play the Garda College who are trained by former Bride Rovers trainer Sarah Denvir. If WIT win they will qualify for the Lynch Cup College Final which will be played in Castlebar on Sunday 12th March.
Tuck Shop at Pairc Na Bride
The Ladies Club will be running a Tuck Shop at all major games held at Pairc Na Bride during 2017. This will start with the Senior Hurling League game on Sunday at 12noon v Newtownshandrum, anyone available to help out please come along at 11.45am.
Art, Poetry & Short Story CompetitionBride Rovers GAA Club are running a Art, Poetry & Short Story Competition through the schools in Rathcormac & Bartlemy.Each entry must have a GAA theme. There will be an awsrds night & some entertainment held in Rathcormac Hall on Friday 24th March.
Gaeltacht ScholarshipMunster Ladies Gaelic Football Association are offering three Gaeltacht Scholarships to Post Primary school girls who will be attending an Irish college in the Gaeltacht in 2017. Applicants must currently be fully registered members of the Ladies Gaelic Football Association. Each Gaeltacht Scholarship is valued at €400. Please contact club secretary Meeks Carr or Liam Barry for an application form.
Public Meeting on 8th MarchA public meeting about the future of Rathcormac will take place in Rathcormac Hall on Wednesday 8th March. Graduates from UCC will be in attendance for this interesting meeting as we plan the future of Rathcormac. All are welcome to attend.
